A friend is who we turn to
When our spirits need a lift
Someone that we can treasure
As it is a special gift.

A friend always fills our lives
With joy, beauty and grace
And makes the world around us
A very special place.

Friends come and friends go
As they often do
But good friends hang together
So honest and so true.

I'd like to share with you today
Special things a friendship may bring
And so many good times together
For you make my happy heart sing.

As you have been old friend of mine
