House That Love Built

So many memories to enjoy
Of happy days gone by
Where children's laughter echoed
Fragrant aroma of apple pie.

Each child born so special
Raised and maturing with love
Watch them spread their little wings
One by one like a graceful dove.

The days were always busy
Each going their separate ways
The night's they lay in slumber
We lift up our thanks in praise.

Holiday's were so wonderful
Our cup over runneth with joy
The children were all so happy
Lots of teasing each girl and boy.

We live in a house that love built
A home so full of love
The memories we hold close to our heat
I thank our Father above.

Too soon they went their separate ways
We are now at home all alone
Yet days gone by live within our heart
As I let my memories roam.
