God may have known the time would come

I would need a word of cheer

To receive a special complement

Or wipe away a tear.

To let him know the need to share

Life's precious little things

And makes me even closer

To the happiness they bring.

The comfort of a loving friend

An understanding heart

To have someone who's caring

And was right from the start.

He knew that I needed a friend

Loving, caring and true

God Blessed me with the answer

When He gave me a friend like you.
