Just Like You

It wasn't very long ago

When I was very small

I followed you all around

Was at your beck and call

My big sister my American Idol

I wanted to be just like you

I copied every thing you did

Tried to do everything you would do.

The years went by so swiftly

You grew up went off on your own

I didn't know which way to turn

I felt so all alone.

And when I look back

Not long ago it may seem

One thing I know

I'm never too old to dream.

I think it's time to tell you

Words just cannot explain how

You were my idol way back then

You are still my idol now.
