I'm thankful for so many things

Let me name a few

When I awake each morning

I gaze out at the view.

The beauty that I see there

Even when the sky is gray

Makes me thankful in my heart

For another special day.

You see, each day I cherish

Because deep down I know

Life as we know it changes

A blink and it may go.

Each moment of every day

Is like a golden treasure

Family and friends close to me

The joy they give, the pleasure.

When night time draws its curtain

And the stars light the way

I say a prayer of thankfulness

For another blessed day.

When my time has ended

My legacy will be

The treasured moments that I leave

To each of you from me.
