You Need To Know

Grandfather,
You may have thought I didn't see
And maybe never heard
Lessons for life you taught me
But I got every word.

You may have thought I missed it all
And we may have grew apart
But I remembered everything
Your words stored in my heart.

Without you I'd never be
The person I am today
You gave me a strong foundation
One that will always stay.

I grew up with all your values
One more thing I'd like to say
I love you Grandfather with all my heart
On this your Father's Day.
