Sitting here relaxing
Like there's nothing else to do
But I don't give a happy hoot
I need some fun time too
Nobody but me to think about
So what do I care
I'll clean the house some other time
Right now I'm in this chair.
I've worked my fingers to the bone
And now it's time for me
I'll do what I want to do
See what I want to see.
I'm not getting any younger
Can't get all this work done
Just too tired to go outside
Get up and go I have none.
I unplugged the telephone
Unplugged the washer too
When my stomach start to growling
I'll open a can of stew.
Boy this sure is the life
I'll take all I can get
Until the undertaker comes
Aint ready for that yet.
I'll have myself refreshments
And listen to the beat
I'd get up and dance a bit
But just can't work my feet.
I can wiggle and I can rock
Just sitting in this chair
That's just about my speed now
But I don't even care.
Don't bother coming over
I like to be alone
And just don't try to call me
Cuz I unplugged the phone.
Changed my mind I can't do that
A party will give me a lift
So come on over everyone
And don't forget the gift!
Nope, it isn't a birthday party
It a pick ME up party heehaw!
