My experience in dressing dolls dates back to the 80's. At first it was only a hobby and my two daughter's Karen, Kathy and I participated in all the Craft Show's and Flea Markets that we could find. I shipped my doll's to Norfolk and New York to shops that displayed and sold them. I never got rich but it was a lot of fun. I always displayed my dolls at our local Poquoson Seafood Festival and other local gift shops for many years and that is where I got the signature name "The Doll Lady." As time went on I opened my own Doll Hospital, Doll Boutique and Craft Shop in my home. It was a very profitable little business venture until we sold our home and moved to another location in Poquoson. I continued dressing and restoring dolls for many years and even sold them on my web site "Journey Of Love" which no longer exists. It was always a very pleasant hobby and I truly enjoyed making beautiful clothes for other peoples dolls and watching their faces when they would come to pick them up. More important I met so many wonderful people and made lasting friendships.
Now, I am at a time in my life where I need a hobby so I have decided to try my hand at doing something that always brought me so much pleasure. I especially enjoy dressing 8 inch dolls that many people collect, the size of small Madam Alexandra dolls but as room is limited I am now dressing 2 and 3 inch collectable dolls.

Because of Rheumatoid Arthritis I can no longer restore dolls and the supplies are next to impossible to find.

My new adventure and hobby of mine is Magnetic Jewelry and More. I design and create homemade jewelry at a very reasonable price. The Disks have magnets on the back which can be interchangeable and attached to a chain which is worn around the neck some have pins also attached so they can be used both on a chain or worn on a lapel or scarf and some are just on a chain as a pendent.
