A friend is like a rose bud
When you give it loving care
It blooms so strong and lovely
Something we can always share.

We are like that so it seems
As we watch our friendship grow
That's what we've done over time
And that is why I know.

This cozy, warm feeling
Deep down within my heart
I knew it would be that way
