What do I see in yonder
sky
Mystic sights of the Universe
A shade covering the moon so bright
Earlier brightness has reversed.
So curious am I of what's up there
Do Astronomers really know
How stars appear as a heavenly light
Just what makes the round moon glow.
Formations of clouds is a mystery
Unusual shapes and forms
Bright and shiny one minute
Gray and dark when it storms.
I look at the Heavens and wonder
The golden beauty as I have read
Is existence there a second life
As religious scholars have said.
I believe in life after death
How can I not you know
The beauty of the celestial sky
Is with us where ever we go.
It is a mystery this Universe
Viewed by you and me
God gave us this celestial dream
How thankful we should be.
