Our blessed Lord knows what is best
Why then do we complain
Each day we want the sunshine
Yet He sends us so much rain.

Each day may be full of laughter
Of happiness and cheer
But our hearts would not feel emotion
If we never shed a tear.

He may try our patience often
We experience pain and sorrow
He never wants to punish us
But prepare us for tomorrow.

God never wants to hurt us
Or see us in our pain
Each time that He may test us
We reap His blessed gain.

When trouble comes to each of us
And everything goes wrong
Remember God is with us
Reach out, he'll make us strong.

Thank Him for his blessings
We are His children one and all
Listen carefully as He speaks to us
For He answer's every call.

When we need Him He will answer
We are never far apart
Because our loving Father
Is always in our heart.
