Cancer can creep upon
us
When we least expect it
to
No one is ever ready
Nor do we know quite
what to do.
It is hard for the
unaffected
To give any kind of
advise
But If you've seen a
love one suffer
So much they sacrifice.
Watching the pain that's endured
As they pray and as
they cry
Begging with hope to
live one more day
So scared that they
will die.
As we watch the
transitions
Loss of hair and
sallowed skin
Eye's sunk in and full
of pain
Healthy body now weak
and thin.
Aware prognosis may not
be good
Yet there are survivors
statistics show
Faith and prayer
sometimes see them through
When it's time God
takes us all we know.
I have seen heroes far
and wide
Survival is the key
Those who struggle with
cancer
Are the real heroes to
me.
Never give up no matter
what
Prayer brings forth
miracles too
So put yourself in the
arms of our Lord
He will take care of
you.
