So much we take for granted

As we start each brand new day

Making plans to enjoy life to the fullest

Responsibility seems to go astray.

We can have our fun as we go along

Just be safe and stay alive

And the risk you take sometimes in life

Is when you drink and drive.

One thing I will never understand

Is why alcohol is necessary at all

It affects your thoughts and actions

And could be your greatest down fall.

Think of your own safety

And the safety of other's too

Don't let the next funeral

Be because of you.

It can happen so please stop a moment

Is it important to take that drink?

Risk your life or many others

Stop right now my friend and think.

If peer pressure is the problem

Be the bigger person where ever you go

Set the example for other's

Please don't mind just saying no.

Ginny's Gift Of Love

If my words on this page saves just one life then it has served it's purpose, for the Lord wants us to reach out not only to the strong but also the weak and that is what I have tried to accomplish when writing the above poem.
