On that cold and
fateful day
April 16 2007
A massacre took
place at Virginia Tech
Many that day
went to Heaven.
Students and
Professors
Shot without
rhyme or reason
On this tranquil
campus in Virginia
As they
approached the summer season.
Innocent lives
taken
So much fear
as each one fell
Some wounded, and
so many dead
Survivors had sadness to tell.
How do we protect
our children
And those who
hold their future so dear
Protect them from
evil forces
Protect them from
hate and fear.
To the families
of the wounded and fallen ones
I would like to
say
May God Bless and
be with you
In your sorrow I
pray today.
To all the
Virginia Tech family
I am proud of who
you are
So dedicated in
your convictions
You are the best
by far.
God the Father of
us all
Hold these angels
in your embrace
Until one day
very soon
We see their
precious face.
He healeth the broken in heart,
and bindeth up their wounds.
Psalm 147:3
