We'd like to
welcome you one in all
To our delicious
Thanksgiving lunch
If you don't mind
sitting at the table
With a hungry,
rowdy bunch.
Nothing fancy
mind you
Just the usual
Thanksgiving fare
We sure would be
honored
How nice to have
you there.
Lots of turkey
and dressing
Potatoes and
gravy too
A few veggies
here and there
Hope we have
enough for you.
However I must
warn you
Be on time please
don't be late
Or empty platters
you will find
And the crumbs
will be your fate.
I'll try to save
some pumpkin pie
But I can't
guarantee
Yep, they all
love pumpkin pie
Guess they take
after me.
So friend you
sure are welcome
To be our
Thanksgiving guest
But better be
here an hour early
Cause there won't
be anything left.
Maybe you had
better wait till Christmas
What do you
think???
